A highly breathable three layer insulation system for optimized cool weather performance.

Ultra Ultra on the outside for lightweight resistance to the elements. This four-way stretch fabric is doublewoven in Switzerland by Schoeller and is the lightest variant of their Dryskin family. Treated with Ecorepel Bio, an F0 (fluorocarbon-free) DWR of exceptional quality, it provides lightweight water and tannin resistance.

In the middle is Polartec Alpha 60, an insulation specifically developed for the US military’s special forces to breathe freely, dry quickly and keep working, even in wet conditions. Alpha 60 is knit in the United States and is a 60gsm version that results in a lean, high performance insulation optimized for cool weather activity.

Up against the skin on the inside is a soft and dry nyloncore merino. Top-capped and tight spectrum 17.5 micron merino is wrapped around a nylon core for additional durability. At 170gsm and 89% merino you get all the beautiful softness and dry performance of merino which synergizes with the Alpha 60 perfectly for a gentle blanketlike warmth.
