Woven into the space in-between linen and cotton sits the Liminal Co/linen. Softer than linen, cooler and drier than cotton, a fabric that sits so deep in the pocket we’re not sure how we did without. At 210gsm it’s as transitory as it gets, heavy for a button-up, light for an overshirt, and absolutely on point for an aggressively air-conditioned airplane. At 56% linen it’s got enough bast fiber to soak up lots of moisture without feeling too wet, while the 44% cotton brings a soft pliability out the gate that linen usually only can reach after years of wear. It’s woven in Italy using a balanced 2/2 batavia twill structure. It ships in a natural linen color that looks beautiful on its own but is also designed for garment dyeing where it takes on deep, rich and textured colors.
