A crisp and exceptionally light cotton poplin from the shirting masters at Albini in northern Italy. The secret sauce is an extraordinarily fine 120s single cotton yarn that only Albini can spin. To make a yarn this fine requires extremely high quality, extra long staple cotton. In this case Albini uses Giza 87, a rare (500 bale a year) subset of Egyptian cotton from the Nile delta renowned for its durability and brilliance. These yarns are then used to create a dense but superlight poplin fabric that weighs only 90gsm.
