Fabric Story
Could merino + linen = cotton? Obviously on a pure material level this is impossible, but when it comes to shirting fabrics it sort of adds up, except it’s even better. Merinolino is mathematically 75% 17.5 micron, ZQ certified, New Zealand merino wool and 25% linen. It is woven in Italy and weighs in at a light 120gsm.
What’s remarkable about this combination is just how well it replicates the sharp, crisp, structured of beautiful cotton shirting, while maintaining all the natural performance that makes merino so great. The merino creates a dry thermobuffering body climate for wide ranging comfort, while staying remarkably odor resistant. The linen is there for structure, adding a rigidity to counteract the wool’s drape and creating an elegant crispness usually only found in pure cotton shirting.
