Fabric Story

A naturally stretchy 100% linen fabric spun and woven by Albini in northern Italy using European flax. Clean, medium-lightweight (140gsm), and yes breezy. More importantly this linen has been treated with Albini’s Yoga Relax formula to give it a gentle two-way stretch and light wrinkle resistance.

Linen absorbs moisture while staying dry to the touch and has an open weave to let air flow through. And it breaks down beautifully, softening with wear like no other fabric. The Albini’s Yoga Relax formula uses ammonia to transform the chemical structure of the weft yarns, relaxing them out and transforming a fiber known for its stiffness into something gently stretchy with a nice shape memory. We’ve also found it tones down the wrinkling, making it far easier to keep in gently rumpled “Hollywood wrinkle’ sweet spot, the good looking wrinkles if you will. The end result is a classically beautiful linen fabric that is both more comfortable to wear and easier to take care of.
