Description

A big and flowing pant experiment in the hard plaid Buffalo Drill, 400gsm cotton/nylon blend originally designed for motorcycle usage but used here in an extremely non-motorcycle-friendly form. Like all our dart form pants there is no side seam only a dart at top for shaping. High waisted, but unlike many earlier dart forms the legs are wwiiiide.

Fabric Story

Motorcycle grade cotton/nylon drill with a red and black plaid facade. At 400gsm / 11.75oz it's lighter than denim but no lightweight. It's 67% cotton for a classic comfortable skin feel, with the 32% nylon being concentrated on the
exterior of the fabric for abrasion resistance. There is a modest 1% elastane content which is not enough to give the product much stretch, but it does provide an absence-of-constriction.

It's rated to handle up to 45km/h crashes, so this is a casual non-racing grade material, but to be honest we've never tested it ourselves. In technical terms the fabric is rated EN 13595-2 and EN 17092-2 for protection against impact abrasion, but for serious protection please buy garments explicitly designed for motorcycle use!
